They don't call it wedlock for nothing!

Gorko
A light installation inspired by the love story of the first owners of the Znamenskoye-Rayok estate — Senator Fyodor Glebov and his wife Elizaveta Streshneva.
According to surviving accounts and legends, the couple's relationship was far from ideal. Glebov was consumed by his love and jealousy toward his wife, while Elizaveta, considerably younger than her husband, remained indifferent to him. This asymmetry of feelings became the foundation of the project's concept.
Not far from the estate complex lies a small but perfectly round pond, along the banks of which the couple once strolled. Here, to mark their wedding, they planted three pine trees on a small island in the center of the pond — named "Faith," "Hope," and "Love." Only the last of these has survived to our time, and it became the centerpiece of the composition.

The installation takes the form of two giant wedding rings, symbolizing the couple and their relationship: the smaller one is hopelessly trapped on the island, surrounded by a watery moat; the larger one endlessly circles around it — like a jailer.
